Staying Active Daily Tip
Daily tips to help you stay active and fit. Making small changes to your daily routine can help improve your general fitness and reduce your risk of diabetes, strokes, heart diseases and dementia. Giving yourself a daily task to do will help keep not only your body active but also your mind.
Tip One
Move the remote control so you have to get up when you need to change the channel or alter the volume. Getting yourself up and out of your chair will help keep your joints supple and it will also work your leg muscles. If you need to, hold the side of your chair for support so that you are not putting undue stress onto your lower back. Remember the remote does not have to be on the other side of the room it just needs to be in a location that will encourage you to move from your sitting position.
