Attain your 2023 fitness goals from Home

Stations everyone, we are approaching the final month of the year and usually the most hectic one. Fitness and diets fall out of the window and the gym’s are flooded with hopefuls trying to reduce the damage come January. It’s your prerogative as to how reserved you want to be throughout the Christmas period. If this past year has felt like a massive punch to the kisser and you want to just immerse yourself in Christmas, then enjoy it. However, it’s important that you enter the new year with good intentions and start the year off well.

In order to make it easier on yourself, why not consider incorporating some exercise into your home life? It’s really easy to get into a great workout routine without the need to ever leave your house. We’re going to show you how to do so below and get you well on your way to achieving your goals.

What kind of workouts can you do from home?

You can get a pretty intense sweat on from a well thought out home workout. It’s important that you outline exactly what your goals are. Do you want to increase muscle mass or reduce body fat/lose weight? You will of course need different equipment at your disposal for each of the above. If your goal is weight training then resistance equipment is what you will need. Whereas if weight loss is your primary driver, then cardio equipment is where your focus should lie. You can perform HIIT training sessions, weight-based workout circuits, full body sessions and isolate muscle groups all from your living room.

What equipment do you need to achieve your goals?

Let’s start with weight loss goals. A piece of cardiovascular equipment will be your best friend when it comes to weight loss. Very straightforward, simply get moving and stay consistent with it and the results will show themselves. The great thing about cardio machines is that you can quite easily distract yourself with other sources of entertainment. For example, some exercise bikes come with tablet holders to store your devices so you can stream movies or shows whilst you exercise. The JF600 PRO is a prime example of this. Cardio machines are also useful tools for tracking your calorie output, the T350 Treadmill shows you how many calories you have burned. This is a vital metric to help you assess your total caloric expenditure for the day.

Cardio machines are not the only option to help you achieve your goals however. Performing resistance workouts with a focus on higher rep ranges and shorter rest times can be a great way to reduce your waist size. A kettlebell is a very versatile piece of kit and a great way to deliver a full body explosive workout to expend a bunch of calories.

Watch what you stock in your fridge

The exercising component is of course imperative but you cannot neglect your diet. If you eat a healthy balanced diet and control your calorie intake, you’ll have less work to do on the exercise-front. Reduce your sugar intake as much as you can, have half a spoon of honey in your tea instead of a full heaped spoon of pure sugar and switch to diet soft drinks. Treat yourself sparingly instead of giving into your sugar cravings at every opportunity. You’ll achieve your goals much faster if you adopt some discipline regarding food.

So, now you know you can smash your fitness goals without leaving your house. The best part is you can take it at your own pace. Don’t go crazy, just be consistent. Allocate a small portion of time for exercising each day (or 5 days per week) and stick to a reasonably clean diet. That’s it, that’s all you have to do. If you adhere to this then you’ll reach your goals in no time.
